Goblins
Student Concept Work - 2010
Four teams were given the objective of creating nations that would fight in an RTS game concept.  My team chose to create a race of tribal, swamp-dwelling goblins.  A cartoony artistic style was chosen for the project, and each team had to create characters, weapons, vehicles, and environments.  Below are my contributions to the character design.
First, I wanted to define the style of goblin head features for the race.
Next, some tribal ear jewelry.
One requirement of the project was to create several character classes.  This was the concept for a Totem Warrior, a fierce goblin who chose a totem animal to lend them strength or power in battle.  This one picked a swamp wasp.
Another character class, the Herbalist, who possessed healing powers, but also used his knowledge to create hand-held explosives.
The idea of the Goblin Chieftain materialized as a zombie.  The story was that the goblins' greatest leader died, and rather than choose a new chieftain, they simply resurrected the old one.  His spirit is bound to its old body with the use of spirit crystals.
