Cloud Scapes
Sometimes it pays to look up
Its amazing how the sky changes colors during the course of the day. Even more so the colors available during incoming or passing storms and my favorite during sun rise or sun set.  The colors the spread across the sky from the horizon to far up in the sky, the colors of the clouds as the sun sets or rises are all events that are calming and relaxing for all who take the time to LOOK UP

Airplane

In one of my favorite spots to shoot sea and cloudscapes, i captured this image as the sun was setting. I named this photo Airplane for not so obvious reasons but there is an airplane in the photo. It seemed so small and insignificant within the entire image.
Calming sun

At the end of a sunset shoot, leaving the beach the skies were so filled with color my client made a statement "The sun is so calm today" Thus the name if this image. Whispering clouds reflect the suns rays on the ocean
Golden Skies

Shooting before or after storm can be very rewarding. This image was shot as a storm had lifted less than an hour before sunset. The waves were still strong, wind was high , the clouds were moving fast and the sky was gorgeous.
Streak

Light caught between two layers of clouds. The lines formed by the higher clouds were new to me and reminded me of streaks that would occur when cleaning a window pane.
Hidden Sun

This image was captured at sunset with light being captured between a low and high layer of clouds.  The lower grey blue clouds moved slowly to cover the setting sun while the strong light of the sun reflected off the higher clouds.

Red

This image needs no explanation. However it is rare to have such vibrant red colors in the sky at sunset. In the Bahamas we often get a more yellow sunset but this day a storm had passed by earlier in the day and left behind a few remnants of low rolling clouds. Its often said by sailors - "red sun at night sailors delight" this represents a calm and cool night.
Rochard

Look at it, for some reason it reminded me of the ink test the Rochard test given to test ones mental and psychological interpretation of the blot. In this case a Cloud blot.
Spotty

Cloud dissipation made the skies a bit spotty on this day, again as the sun set in the west the orange light is reflected off the clouds. Amazingly these clouds lasted for less than twenty minutes.
