Although most things we know to be impermanent, something beautiful like a flower doesn't die prematurely if you understand the rain and grey not as inevitable drown, but an opportunity for irrigation. It won't die if you understand a dry and unloving day as a chance to find water and perk up to the sun. And most importantly, when the soil is enriched and the sun mellow and everything is in what seems to be perfect synchronicity, be sure to acknowledge the beauty, because the impermanent nature of most things will call for rain or drought at some point.
