HelloFlo is a American Feminine Care Brand that offers different kits for girls ranging from period starter kits to tampon kits. The aim of this project was to adapt, evolve and simplify, in order to introduce the brand to the Asian market. To integrate the brand to the market, a set of cute characters were designed to engage the 10-18 year olds Asian girls. We evaluated the brand’s products and decided to redesign the period starter kit that is both suited to the Asian market and introduces tampons to them. Speaking about periods has always been a taboo here and after collecting results from our survey, many Asian female didn’t have enough knowledge about their menstrual cycle. Our goal was to create a fun product that empowers, educates and inspire young females.
Brand Mascots were designed with a cute and feminine manner. These characters allows HelloFlo to better adapt and connect with the interest of young Asian women. With them we can create a dialogue, where FLO chats with the consumer. The three sub characters acts as not only a supporting role but also as a indicator that can help educate girls about their period.
               
To engage the Asian market more, advertising through public transport was designed. Toilet decals will also be distributed to schools so that students can be engaged with the brand during their monthly period. Additionally, a period tracking and advice app will be designed for girls to learn more and be more comfortable with their own body.An updated website was also designed that simplifies it’s outlook and make it more organised.
