Gears Of Time 2.0
This is a continuation of my Gears Of Time project. In the first Gears Of Time, I was unable to fully render the original 3d objects that I had created in Photoshop. To resolve this issue, I brought the 3d objects into 3ds Max and applied new materials and mapping. I was able to fully render a 4K (3840px by 2160px) image that will work for a large print. I did some final effects in Photoshop.
Bellow is the un-rendered 3D Model after giving it new materials and adjusting all the UVW maps, as well as, fixing some other issues with it in 3ds Max.
If you won't see it in the render, don't model it...
These are the kinds of wireframes that Photoshop generated from my vector extrusions. They are very unusually-tessellated, which explains all the warnings I got upon importing it. I think Photoshop did an excellent job at making the extrusions from my vector graphics, particularly in making some complex bevel shapes but, the wireframes are not very editable in other software. However, beveling irregular shapes in other software often produces unwanted results.
I am working on modeling more in this project, in the hopes that I can make a short animation from it.
