Daily Rhetoric

Typography
EXPOSÉ
This campaign expresses the culture of the misinformed, exposing how
the newspapers manipulate and shape their views of other cultures.

With punk inspired typography this guerrilla campaign will inspire people to look within and question if their own beliefs are based on experience, or media manipulation, ultimately forming a new dialogue between different cultures. The campaign also invites other creatives to have their say with a free typeface.
This project is a response to a D&AD/ Monotype brief.

THE POSTERS

The posters will be put up around cities to invite people to question the newspaper headlines and their own beliefs. By opening peoples eyes to the manipulation used in newspapers it will result in the rhetoric becoming less affective. The punk visual style is key at targeting the working class demographic, reminding them of a time of rebellion, hopefully inspiring change within themselves.
THE TYPEFACE

The custom typeface used in the posters was designed by cutting letters from newspapers, literally using their own words against them to raise awareness. The typeface comes with a full english character set and 50 ligatures which I am releasing for free to inspire you and other creatives to spread the message and have your own say on the current social climate, so together we can make a positive change.
