Autobiography

Hi Class,

My name is Danielle Wilson but I go by Danie. I have been attending the Art Institute since 2013, with high hopes of graduating in a few months. I began studying Fashion Marketing and Management at the Los Angeles Campus howe in the Fall and transferred to the Hollywood campus Spring quarter of last year. I am currently a fashion stylist at Maje on Beverly Dr., a Parisian brand made for the flirty yet conservative business woman. 

My short term goals are to network more by attending events as well as to eventually begin interning/working in a fashion house or showroom. My long term goals are to become a buyer for a prideful, edgy brand such as All Saints or Sandro and to as well own my own successful showroom. I began my college career at California State University of Northridge, however I felt as if it wasn't the career path I wanted to follow, taking up criminal justice. Fashion has always been one thing I cherished. By working in Bloomingdales and for Maje in Beverly Hills, my interest in fashion intently grew.  

My Expectations from this course is to walk away knowing that I understood the work and that I learn the backend to the business. Being that I do want to go into buying, learning the managing skills  of the marketing of the business is a major interest as well. I want to eventually have my own brand and taking this course is very necessary and beneficial. Not only do I plan to learn from this class, I expect to take away more knowledge from my class mates as well.
