This bracelet explores alternative forms of direct casting as well as responding to process. Researching different methods and trial-and-error experimentation with a handful of different materials was an integral part to the success of this project. Though the original intent was to try broom and bean casting, I chose to push it further and test base objects such as rock salt, rice, pasta, and even dry dog food. In the end, the broom casting method produced the most unique yet consistent pieces. It was then a matter of visualizing and combining the cast pieces together to form an equally unique and individualized piece of finished jewelry.
