Another Breath of the wild gameplay screenshot I found. A lot of white wash is used and it kinda kills it for me, like before  just lighting can be a key difference in how good a game can look

Same change with different layerings and balancing. This just makes it stick out so much, makes me wanna jump into the picture. Nintendo knows way more than me with how light works obviously, but again subtle key changes makes a huge difference
