These photographs are from a project where I experimented with light photography in and around abandoned places. I intended on capturing light abandonment in an environment where abandonment was evident, so these photographs were captured in the morning, as the sun was rising which captured natural light in a urban, abandoned building. My theme for the project was urban decay and from this I chose a sub theme of abandonment. Throughout the project I visited multiple abandoned locations and experimented with light in and out of the studio. This project was successful because I captured light throughout the different shoots and varied my locations to ensure that my outcomes varied. I also captured signs of abandonment which is evident in these shots as they show decay and loneliness. I only introduced models into my last shoot which is the last photo in this collection, this was to enforce the idea of loneliness and emotional sings of abandonment.
