The placemats depict the fishing culture that is part of Emirati history. Back in the 7th Century, Emiratis were seafarers, merchants and experts in pearl diving. Arabic poems by famous Emirati poets and the Sheikh himself about the sea and life at sea have been used on the placemats as well.
The back of the placemats has simple game to keep children occupied.
