"A treasure" wrapped in wire

"A Treasure" By Faith Shillito

A treasure is something one holds dear. A gift from a loved one. A souvenir of a special moment.

An acquaintance of mine brought me a ring that was given to her by her children. She loves it but finds wearing it a little difficult.
She came to me to ask if I could take the stone in the ring make a wire wrap pendent she could wear.
I said I would see what I could do. I had never taken a stone out of a setting in a ring and wrapped a faceted shape before.

This is the result. The style is called “Lotus Flame”. It was made using copper wire with techniques I had never used before but wanted to make it special and neat.

Copper wire sizes are 0.8mm and 0.35mm. The stone is hand made glass that was set in brass.
