The “Young Photographers of 852” is an interview book capturing the stories of those who have achieved success as a photographer in Hong Kong at a young age. Many local Chinese people still perceive pursuing a creative career as risky, identifying it as an unstable job option. This book documents the photographic accomplishments of interviewees who either come from Hong Kong or reside there, providing confirmation that this stereotypical opinion is inaccurate.
The goal of this ongoing project is to encourage the youngsters of 852 to follow their passion and dreams, to show them that it is possible to be successful while being creative and to break the cliché.
This project will continue to expand both in e-book and print format as more photographers are invited to join and share their stories.
