Our studio spent an entire semester studying the system of food. After designing a comprehensive map of “food in America” with the entire class, we each chose sectors to focus on in greater detail. I chose to focus on two sectors relating to the business side of food. I designed a concept map to help educate middle and high school students about food marketing. Later in the food semester, I designed a process map to help high school students learn basic economic concepts and expand their knowledge about local food and nutrition.
