This pendant is based on the Jungle Book character of Ka, the Burmese Python that is always trying to eat Mowgli.  

This signet ring is a marker of royalty.  Sheer Khan, the main antagonist, is a royal Bengal Tiger, always watching Mowgli, the hated man-cub.  The stone is meant to resemble the ever watchful eye of Sheer Khan.
