CHICKEN
I was set the task of creating a series of informative posters and/or plaques for any target audience. They could be in any medium we wanted, as long as they conveyed information in a fun and illustrative way.
I decided to look into all things chickens, and add my own twist to all the fun and interesting things that I could illustrate.
I initially looked into the different comb types that chickens have and its' usage.
To stay cool the blood goes into the comb, because this is the coldest part of the chicken as it is on the top of the head. When the blood goes into the comb, it cools down, and in turn cools down the chicken.
Combs come in all different shapes and sizes, depending on breed and gender. Males usually have a bigger comb than the females. They’re usually red, but they can also be purple in some breeds.
Experimenting with creating a crazy chicken narrative - chickens with attitude.
After playing around with all of my materials, I decided to mock up a mini folding information booklet, giving a quick snapshot of the information I have gathered. Something bright, colourful, and eye-catching.
