To formulate and design a sustainable green student housing community under private ownership near Texas A&M University.
Formed out of a native plant on the existing land, the design of the complex fits to mold into its surroundings. The complex exists as a landmark destination for the city and will provide a variety of facilities for students of the university. Situated off the west end of campus amongst the area’s historic restaurant and housing community Northgate, the idea takes inspiration from the history of the surroundings, as well as the abundance of plant vegetation on the site. Final deliverables were decided to be four final presentation boards complete with plans, sections, elevations, process sketches, and a model.
