This design build consisted of a team fellow NDSU students and community volunteers to aid in the construction of a resources and supply facility for the residents of Pignon, Haiti. Primary building materials included masonry, site-cast concrete, and structural rebar. The most striking aspect of this project was adapting to a new culture and working with building materials and tools that are considerably lower quality than you would find in the United States. Upon our return, building materials and techniques were proposed the construction of an expansion of the resource facility into the surrounding site.
