The Google Book

The Google Book was created as a permanent artifact of a dated Google image search. The intention was to showcase the juxtaposition of the complicated and very temporary nature of the search engine’s output vs. the very permanent and linear physicality of a book.
The structure of the book is broken out into 18 search queries that correlate to Google’s purpose statement. The first letter of each search term reveals a hidden message.
The images were selected based on a specific size and shape required for the format of the book.
The number of pages and corresponding edge on the outer perimeter of the pages represents the exact specifications of Google's logo mark.
