ANIMOCITY was born in Taiwan from the fusion of two major influences. The overpopulation of the La isla de Taiwán o Formosa, (thebeautifull Island) and a longing for the diversity of Africa. Based onan oral tradition of story telling ANIMOCITY evokes a fireside feelingwhile addressing the problems of modernisation, migration andoverpopulation.
