This project is about second hand plants. Blesh you, a little plant shop in Nijmegen, sells second hand plants. Every plant has his own background story. I was interested in the story and how I could turn this story visual. I chose to visualize data about the plant care, the reason why the plant was brought to the store & the roots of the plant.
I started with making photographs to get an idea of the atmosphere of the shop.
Cover: growing paper. This paper contains small seeds to grow your own plants. The letters are cut out with a laser cutter. The hardbound with needle and thread
Information about the amount of water and sunlight
Poem & waterpaint illustration according to the reason the plant was brought to blesh you
'I come from .....' written in 3 languages which are spoken in countries they come from
Picture of the plant.
'Put this cover in the ground, give him water and see what happens.'
