This is an end grain cutting board made of cherry and ash. I alternated the order of the pieces glued together and the direction of the segments to provide a random effect and the shape of the grain ended up looking better than expected. Each vertical segment is attached to the next with glue and biscuit joints in order to keep them aligned properly and add strength. The corners of the board were also tapered using a routing table.
