SkimSurfer Prototype
The Skimsurfer is a prototype board that originated merely out of necessity for a wakesurfer. Being able to choose how it would perform I wanted a wakesurfer that combined the ‘snappy’, ‘lose’ feel of a wakeskate but that would remain fast enough to allow it to perform like a shortboard. In order to achieve the desired feel a fin was specifically designed to reduce the surface area which creates resistance while turning the board. Minimizing the surface area resulted in a fin that tracks well allowing for speed generation down the wake but will release easily off the wake making it the ideal Fun Board.
