The project deals with a series of chairs produced by the generative process. By the parametric model construction, it is possible to individualize the chair form in a configurator. The user can customize the chair to its weight and body mass. In addition, the overall appearance of the chair can be changed in the configurator.
The user has a wide variety of chair types which can be shaped from the basic model. By changing the dimensions the chair seat can be shaped into a bench, a chair or a stool, the chair legs can also be individualized in three variations.
The structure of the chair is as efficient as possible, a skeletal structure in the inner, reduces material consumption and reduces weight. The structure will be calculated on the weight of the person and is therefore always as efficient as possible. The chair legs are produced separately from the seat pan, which saves space in production but also allows to remove the powder from laser sintering among the inner skeletal structure .
