Some of my favorite pieces from 2012
2012 has been an interesting year of transition for me. In december of last year, I abruptly decided that I done using Vector art as my primary means of drawing, and made it my goal to improve my drafting and coloring skills. My end goal is begin doing more concept artwork for games and media companies, but for right now i'm just trying to beef up my illustration portfolio.
Here are some of the standout pieces from my 2012 experience.
"Turtle Time!" Working on random character development and coloring skills. One of my favs so far this year.
"New Years Dragon" This was my first real experiment with coloring in photoshop in over a year. It turned out pretty well, I think!
"Safeguard Title"This was the title image for a fictional video game that I am developing concepts for.
"Strange Mercy" This piece was a homage to St. Vincent's incredible album "Strange Mercy" that came out last fall.
