B&A
Bath and Aromatherapy
Project objective
I wanted to do something a little different and make up my own bath bomb company. I wanted to start a brand with a beautiful logo and showcase my different abilities. I decided to make a logo, two box designs, sale poster, and store sign. I really wanted to go all out and make this a beautiful marketing piece.
Research
The research for me was a little harder because it's a completely new brand. But I did some research on Lush Cosmetics, Bath and Body works, and other hobbyists. I found that the only big name company known for bath bombs was Lush Cosmetics. The founder of Lush actually invented the bath bomb in the 1980's, so it is a fairly new product that is taking the nation by storm. Another finding was that most of the packaging for bath bombs was in a silica bag with a ribbon. Lush does comes in a little black box with the Lush Cosmetics Logo. So this is when I decided to add floral patterns and wreaths to show the costumer what they are buying.
Concept and Solution
My concept was to create a beautiful logo and tasteful packaging. The solution was simple, give the people what they want, and they are sure to love it. I decided to ask some of my co-workers at Bath and Body Works what they looked for in a bath bomb and the words that came up the most was, Relaxing, Soothing, and Rich. And that is exactly what I wanted to achieve in this project.
