This scene I painted for the 2015 Tiki Oasis Art Show. The theme of the show was
"Yesterday’s Future, Today", a retro-futuristic tiki twist on the science fiction and
the Space Race era of the 1960s.
Alien space ships in search of rum invade a tropical island and abduct a local tiki bar, including the cocktail waitress! Seems like there is intelligent life out there after all.
