The following images were hanging in the exhibition with information below each.
This first image contains a sampling of the initial stage of any idea generation: sketches. I began by drawing different shapes along with cactus and bicycle related imagery. Eventually, I began to combine the imagery into potential logo ideas with some acknowledgment of where future type would go.
The second image shows how I took these sketches and turned them into digital graphics. I experimented with a few different looks and feels, and began to test specific typefaces and color schemes.
The third stage in my development of the brand was combining the previous graphics and types into cohesive logos. These were the nine logos I came up with and then, with thought and much insightful input, I narrowed my choice down to the bottom logo.
This last image is that of the final branding board. Here, I narrowed down exactly which graphics, typefaces, and colors would be used throughout the brand to create a cohesive and complete feeling for this little southwestern cafe.
