THE DREAM
This image is part of a series I am creating to demonstrate the importance of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator being taught in reading and writing courses.  The series is called: "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words". This image I called: "The Dream".  There is a lot of "subliminal" references within the images.  Hidden elements of a possible story: The viewer is to decide which woman is having the dream or fantasy?  The woman who is reading the book or the woman that is asleep? Each element represents an aspect of the dream (the forest, the reflection, the swan, the pages of the book, the "open" books (2 versions one that is obvious and one that is not so obvious, the pathway, the light,),etc).   The thing I did struggle with in deciding was the size and proportion of the women within the dimensions of the image.  But wanted the woman in red to be the focal point of the image and made her larger for 2 reasons--(1) to draw the viewer into the story; (2) also a possible interpretation/question: "Is she "larger than life"---type of saying/reference. The image is to be used to inspire a student to write a story (creative) based on their interpretation of the image.
