The objective for this project was to create a humorous machines that is mounted on a wood panel.

I decided to create a farm themed egg cracking machine that is inspired by the Da Vinci hammer, and basic gear and ratchet mechanisms to combine rotary and linear movements.

Once you load the green 'nest' with an egg and start sawing, the gears will turn the snail that triggers the hammer to fall and crack the egg. The nest is a hidden container with an integrated strainer so that you can collect the egg whites and yolks without any shells.
