This is a self-promotion project, which is an expansion of myself as a graphic designer through products which resembles my 'obsession' with creative novelty.

About myself
I’m an enthusiastic, well-rounded, ambitious graphic designer with an eye for detail. The passion that drives my creativity is motivated by a desire to explore all things I am fascinated by. I am open to discovering the unknown, always daring to attempt new things. I am a fast learner, constantly willing to broaden my knowledge. I’m fond of reading, writing, knitting, drinking tea and eating cake. As a graphic designer, I love challenges, which I approach with my design abilities and a combination of attentive listening and problem-solving skills.I have an acceptance for failure and the valuable lesson it teaches. As Jessica Walsh states: “Have the confidence to fail. Persistence is key.” I am neither a strict minimalist nor an avid post-modernist – my personal style is a combination of influences from both. This is due to my personality of not being too serious, although wiser and older. I have an appreciation for tiny details and a somewhat dry sense of humour.

What do I have to showcase:
I want to expand my knowledge in the creative industry whilst further crafting my design skills. I love to explore more design methods and challenge myself to grow. I am motivated by the fact that design is endless and each design movement has its own unique qualities (novelties) which can be combined and expanded upon. I want to showcase my flexibility as a designer through my best work from publication to animation. I want to present by the fact that design is endless and I am a well-rounded designer who appreciates tiny and unique qualities in design.

About the products:
I want to express my well-roundedness through multi-purpose products, such as a bandana which can be used as a napkin, armband or headscarf; a pouch keychain which can also hold earphones, earphones, coins or other necessities. The other aspect I want to focus on is creative novelty through design obsession – I want to showcase this with a “novelty pack” which includes mini items such as a newspaper, notebook, trump cards game and a thaumatrope. These chosen items reflect my design obsession with layout and typography along with my admiration for tiny interactive details. Lastly, my design diversity along with my love for tea is portrayed through a collection of ‘Creative Novel-Tea’, showing off my best work and a love of creative packaging design.
