Logo
In this logo design there is a conveyance of energy and nature. The design combines the elements of a "sun" and a "flower", bringing them together to represent the beauty of growing plant life. The use of warm colors signifies the seasons of spring, summer and fall. These are the seasons during which the sun shines warmly and where you will find flowers, trees and other plants growing in all their glory. A sun coming up over the horizon brings with it hope and optimism. When a flower is planted, it is done with faith in future enjoyment of that flower's beauty. These concepts come together in this design.

The emphasis is on the flower shape. The name of the company is a simple statement below. Its simplicity of the black font creates a statement of its own, while not competing with the contrasting bold and energetic flower. At the same time, the text enjoys a centered position making it still prominent in the over all logo design. The flower opens away from the name of the company expressing the idea that this nursery produces beautiful and vibrant plants.
Business Card
This double sided business card uses the design elements found in the logo to give more information about the organization. I chose to add a tag line "bringing beauty to life" on top of the logo to put words to the logo's conveyance. The company name is still effortlessly stated under the icon and therefor adds to the elegant simplicity of this design.

The back side is more functional, containing contact information and a QR code link to the website. A subtle, gradually fading flower ties the familiar logo into the information. I chose to use a contrasting font on the second line for emphasis and elegance.
Letterhead
Envelope
In designing the envelope, I chose to position the fading flower icon under the company name and address for association and interest. After exploring other options, I ascertained that it was best for balance and functionality to leave the remaining two-thirds of the envelope as white space for addressing, stamping and postal codes.
Social media profile images
Facebook:
These are samples of the logo and headers as they would be used on social media such as Facebook and Twitter. The logo is used as the profile picture since it will become the recognized symbol of the company. As you can see here, the logo works as well as a small profile picture as it does a large image. For the header, I chose an image of blooming peonies to represent the products that this company offers. It conveys the feeling that the company embodies. It also has a bit of the company's building in the back ground showing that this image was taken on site. The image works well as a header since the profile picture can rest in front of it and not block anything critical.

ADS
This color ad highlights the company logo while emphasizing the event that the ad was created to put forward. The logo and name were placed at the top, using the company's branding to give the event credibility. The words "Fairy Garden Party" were given a special font and surrounded by white space for emphasis. The details immediately under were given an accent color as well as proximity to the "Fairy Garden Party" to build excitement about the event. I aligned the date and time with previous text for balance but separated it to keep emphasis on the words "Fairy Garden Party". I chose to add the contact information in a smaller font at the bottom so that it is available, but not a prominent part of the overall design. The sitting fairy at the bottom attracts attention to the purpose of the ad by looking toward the information. Her wings resemble a flower which creates harmony with the branding and logo of the company.
This black and white ad keeps the emphasis, harmony and alignment elements that exist in the color ad above but accommodate a different ad shape and a grayscale print. Since the colors are not available for accent use, it relies more heavily on the font variations for emphasis. Again, the Fairy is looking toward the information drawing attention to the purpose of the ad. The logo and company name retain their prominence at the the top of the ad for branding a credibility. I chose to include the contact information in the bottom corner to free up the center of the ad for the most important information only. The stars in the top left corner create subtle interest and balance.
