Memory Makers meet weekly to produce knitted items to support those in need. From knitted sensory muffs for people living with dementia to clothes for premature babies, the things they make have a real, positive impact for patients at the local hospital as well as care homes and other locations around the area.
They needed a logo and graphic identity to support their work. The aim was to use it across a range of items to unify what they do and encourage new members to join the group.
I designed two version of the logo; the full logo and a version designed to be used in smaller sizes. Each one has been produced in a full colour version, with a ball of wool in place of the 'O', a simple version and one colour versions in black, white and red.
The primary font in the logo is a sans serif font in two weights. This was chosen because it is easy to read so that people of all ages can read it. The slogan 'Knitting to help those in need' is in a hand written font to mirror the hand made products the group gives to people.
