Ben from Mario's Original Pizza & Pasta was looking for a super custom, illustrated pizza box that would really make their customers stop and stare.

The results were delicious.

All sides of the pizza box were just COVERED with hand lettering / typography, and his full color logo was edited down to just one so it'd sit well with the surrounding illustration work and be ready for production.

Special care was taken in communicating with the printer who would be producing the pizza box so the artwork covering the pizza box fell within safe zones.

Mario's Pizza was looking for a really unique way to incorporate a coupon into the pizza box design to help encourage repeat sales. Once I received a sample of the pizza box in the mail, I discovered an amazing place to put it.

Looking inside the pizza box, you find the special coupon! You're a winner!

That coupon inside the box ends at a fold, which creates a natural perforation in the cardboard for easy tearing and saving. It's bigger than your average coupon, so it'll be hard to lose!

Fun sayings abound as the customer turns the box around in their hands.

I think one of my favorite drawings on this illlustrated pizza box is the finger with the string tied on it... that's attached to a hand that's holding a slice of pizza.

The bottom of this pizza box is so much fun - from all of the hilarious sayings the client provided in a series of inspired emails, to the "how many mushrooms on this box" game...
