The client asked for the look of the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas, kind of smoky, with the effect of an aged photograph.
The St. Louis chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization contrived an event with a circus theme. I chose artwork scanned from early 20th century circus posters and grungy textures to generate a thrill of the retro colliding with the contemporary.
Cigar smokers have a hard time these days. They get together, drink expensive cocktails, eat steak, and watch boxers pummel each other. I think the City of Clayton fined the Ritz for allowing indoor smoking at this event. Hard times.
The Viper & His Famous Orchestra, a roots Americana band, performed for a fund raiser for the Frank Lloyd Wright property in Springfield, Illinois. The silkscreen poster I designed drew inspiration from the stained glass windows the architect designed for the residence.
The middle is the back, and the right side folds over to sync with the left. I'll try to find a picture of the folded piece.
