TREND RESEARCH: Inspirational elements of top Rug skus

Eclectic Edge
Today’s looks are as much about individuality and personality as they are about fashion.  Throwaway buys are shunned in favor of investing in good design that will go the distance.     Reinterpreting classics and blending trends will add to the eclectic nature of our interiors with mix and match of multiple prints a strong trend that creates a uniquely individual look.

Global ethnic
There’s a new influence in prints this year, with a diverse heritage reflecting our increasingly global community.  Strong prints in rich palettes are particularly effective when combined with almost Nordic minimalism.
Natural influences

The trellis pattern has become a staple for most soft furnishings vendors.  A Gardenesque-inspired design; intersecting lines have intertwined in an unending variety of patterns ranging from simple to elaborate.  Colors influenced by metallic trends in copper and shimmer add warmth and sophistication to interiors.
Organic elements
There is a big trend toward bringing elements of nature and the outdoors into the home. This can come in the form of more natural shaped pieces in the midst of more rigid modern furniture, or can involve bringing indoor plants or terrariums into your home. It also can pertain to the color of paint you use. Bringing the colors of nature into the home where they fit can make a space seem clean and one with nature.
