Redesign and Integrated Campaign
For this project I was tasked with choosing a hygiene product and redesign it's label, followed by a secondary assignment to create a single print ad to promote it. I chose Purell Advanced Hand Sanitizer. My approach to this redesign was to focus on making this product appealing towards kids and make them want to stay germ free. To do this I created two heroes that would fight against germs. I did all of the artwork and it was all original illustrations. The inside of the brochure was a comic strip that introduced you to the heroes and gave you information about how to continue following the fight online. My vision for the full campaign is to have a mini webisode series uploaded through YouTube that kids could follow bi-weekly. Although the assignment did not require it, I also did a mock up of a mobile game that kids could play that encouraged sanitation after finishing the game because  a phone is one of the dirtiest things that we touch everyday. The print ads were bold with facts about the dirtiest things we touch and made you want to use Purell quickly after reading it. The great thing about the print ads is that they can easily have ten adaptations, making the campaign flexible and have a longer run time. Although we only had to do one print ad I went ahead and did two just to show how you can adapt it  and work in both characters. All of the artwork and illustrations in the print ads was also all original.
