HISTORY OF INNOVATION
CRAYONS | A CASE STUDY OF INNOVATION
History and Interpretation of Innovation. The analysis of a variety of case studies allowed intimate insight into the many aspects of innovation, as well as drivers or triggers that may have played an influential role in diffusion.

Personally identifying and analyzing the various components of innovation and its diffusion as outlined by Everett Rogers in "The Diffusion of Innovation" in two self selected case studies gave an in-depth understanding of the potential for innovation and how we as Design Managers can be an influential player in this occurrence.

The following images are representative of one of two comprehensive case studies documented. Initiated by secondary research, the project required personally understanding and defining innovation prior to outlining historical information for the selected innovation
. Exploration of the innovation's innovator, drivers of diffusion, attributes - including relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trial-ability, and observability, unintended consequences, and re-contextualization was completed and personally interpreted within the case study.

Feel free to explore the Case Study for further details and documentation of this project.
