BUBBL-IT | A CHRONICLE OF COLLABORATION
Facilitating Creative Thinking allowed a focus on envisioning ideas and solutions through sketching, imaging, and continuous group interaction, helping to prepare us to think beyond our comfort zone. Realizing that the visuals aided each individual to better understand the intent; ideas could be built upon and interpreted by all and generated with gracious freedom and speed. Recognition that the ongoing generation of ideas is critical for innovation to become a reality - a culture, becomes second nature.
This collaborative creativity session involved two individuals actively engaged in exploring and solving a design problem while another individual took upon the role as scribe observing and recording the process through writing, typing, and photographing. Phase I included addressing and solving a design problem through the use of brainstorming, mind mapping, word association, concept sketching, role playing, and pure discussion. Articulation of the design problem was based upon personal experience collaboratively using these tools. Phase II included reflection and analysis of the design problem solving process which led to the story-boarding and written description of the process.
The following images are representative of the process utilized by this team to arrive at a creative solution. Through the collaborative two phases, the three individuals were successfully able to articulate and visually demonstrate through story-boarding how they were able to arrive at a solid design solution that could be sent to production.
