As a team of 3, we were given a brief from a posing Lonely Planet stakeholder where we were asked to add a new app to their eco-system. They wanted something that complimented their eco-system but didn't replace anything that already existed. A big pain point is that users want a way to meet up with fellow travelers. The users were either back-packers and wanted to share a cab fee and help make traveling cheaper or they were flat-packers and were interested in finding people to share experiences with as they traveled. Given this information we came up with the Lonely Planet Buds app.
