'My First Print' by David Bull
I was asked by a friend, and exceptional Woodblock Printmaker, David Bull, if I could produce some illustrations for him to help explain some of the techniques of traditional Japanese woodblock printmaking.
During the design process we developed the cat character, Boots-chan, to guide the reader through the rich media ebook. She was based on a neighbour's real cat who'd wander into Dave's studio in Tokyo and watch him work.
