A Journey To Far Western

|| Spectacular Guys ||
Bablu on the right as his friend acts like kissing him, for the #portrait .
Bablu from Nepaljung has been selling #goggles , #specs , #watches and wallets since past eight years, in Nepaljung and Attariya Buspark as well.
|| Arman ~ 12 ||
Doesn't want to go to school but is happy to be a conductor of the Jeep.
When asked what he wanted to be when he grows up?
He answered 'Owner of this Magic Jeep. So, i can race through the roads of #Dhangadhi '
First landslide experience in Gokuleshwor, Darchula.
|| Towards The Greenland ||
While our bus was stuck in mud and our journey towards Ganna, #Darchula was delayed followed by the landslide on the way.
Awaiting for a heavy vehicle to clear the road and solve the muddy puzzle.

Skipping the scene and walking towards the greenland.
The suspension bridge crossing the#Mahakali river.
Near death experience as our Jeep had an accident on the folded trail to Ganna.
|| The Pink Umbrella ||
The road to the Latinath, #Darchula was super adventurous.
As most roads were swiped away by landslide and we had to walk most of the time.
In the place called Baggar, we had a small jeep accident that we were on. And the locals gathered the scene.
Most of the umbrella i saw was pink in #color .
These three little Chicos were giggling watching the scene created there, under A PINK UMBRELLA.
Finally we were on out two feet walking towards our destination.
|| High'Low ||
The trail we walked on.
The scattered clouds, simmer of rain, green grass and the sound of river.
The walks to reach Khandeshwori,
|| Simaar ||
The two sleepless night rides in bus was all forgotten, after comfy sleep in Simaar,#Darchula .
And an awesome weather starting then next day and the lovely #greenery of the place.
With the sound of #river flowing below and the freshness of the air around.
Walking on the #trail that day was one of the best moments of the #journey .
Our Books for donation carried by a porter to Khandeshwori, Darchula.
|| Chico ||
On the way to Makkargaad, #Darchula i shot this, where we stopped for lunch after crossing a wild waterfall.
We stopped in a small house where we got some refreshments and this kid was running around with his glass and not letting it go. While he started to climb the stone paved stairs, he stuffed the glass in his pants.
He was pretty shy to talk after that and even didnt answered when asked about his name.
|| Khandeshwori School ||
After 27hours of bus ride and 2days hike to the beautiful village of Khandeshwori,#Darchula .
Looks like another state or land where people have their own culture and way of living.
Along with #Bookmandu Nepal, visited the school on the elevation of 2310m. Where 300+ students study.
The place is just magical as it is seen only after a full day straight vertical #hikeof a #hill from Makkargaad and all the tiredness wears off after reaching the top of the hill.
The village is seen beyond the clouds.
No one would ever imaging there would be a village there and well actually people living there. No one until you reach there and see it yourself.
Cool air, with the sensational view of Mt. Api and well feels like country beyond#clouds .
And how awesome it would be staying and studying in palaces like that.

Well i am dreaming up to live there and well teach kids as well. How i wish too.
Hehe. 😊
|| 4th Grade ||
Khandeshwori School, Grade 4th. Where kids are ever so excited to learn new things.
They asked me to teach about photography and how the camera works.
Every shutter i pressed, they all ran to me and asked to review the photo.

I miss being around them.
|| Purnima ||
Studying in class 1, Khandeshwori School, #Darchula.
A bubbly and jolly girl with immense smile always on her face. And when talking with her i was asking her what she wanted to be when she grows up, a Doctor? Nurse? Dancer? And she replied ' I just want to eat and eat'.
And i just could not control my laughter.

Yeah.! Posting this at Purnima as well, in a memory of her. I hope to see her in future, soon.
|| Gang 1 ||
Walking around the premises of school at Khandeshwori,#Darchula .
They were all watching me through the window of their class and were curiously watching every move i make.
After this shot, i visited their class and they had this gang of friends, who only talked if one talked.

Remember 'Purnima' she studied in the same class.
Little kid who want to eat and eat nothing but eat when she grew up.
These guys are super curious and wanted to learn new things. The first thing they asked me how are the photos displayed in the screen, as soon as it was shot.

They swarmed in a huge gang to see the photos shot.
The 1st gang of 1st grade.

Little angels.
|| Laxmi ||
Studying in grade 3 Khandeshwori school, #Darchula .
She had a different story to tell not verbally but through her eyes.
|| Abishek ||
After visiting school for one last time saying goodbyes to the kids we took off from Khandeshwori, #Darchula .
And started hike down to get a bus back to Akttaria, as was hiking down the hill.
I saw the long suspension bridge which links to Makkargard and herd songs playing.

After a moment on the base of the bridge, i saw a kid lying on the bench and singing along the song. I just sat there and listened for a while.
Then he noticed me and stopped. He said, his name is Abishek and he just got back from school finishing his exam.

He turned the volume of the #radiolouder and started singing again, as i pointed my camera to him he just sat in ready position for his photo to be taken.
He was so happy to see his photo afterwards.
|| Beyond The Hills ||
After two days in the beautiful and welcoming village of Khandeshwori, #Darchula .
On the way back home and looking back to the place where we came from; beyond the hills, through waterfalls, vertical height, long suspension bridges and from the place where cotton clouds cover the top floor of the hills.
Not even half way back and i already miss the hospitality of the place, walking in grass were butterflies are flying and frogs hopping around. The smell of fresh air.
|| Transporter ||

Last shot of the trip to Khandeshwori, #Darchula .

#Mule and donkeys are the main source of transporting the goods and essentials from bazaar point that is Gokuleshwor to end point Api base camp, possibly.
