The aim of this project was to create a naming and lettering for a bike we chose, and then to design a t-shirt with it. I chose a bike for kids and three main concepts to show in my design:
· The learning
· The swinging
· The imbalance
Hedera is a latin word that means ivy, a climbing plant, used as a metaphor, because learning entangles and traps you as an ivy. Also, a plant is nature, like this bike, which is made of wood.
I made the main lettering starting by hand, using a rounded marker, trying to show all the concepts. I polished the lettering using Adobe Illustrator. With the aim to show the innocence of the children, I used a pastel yellow for the t-shirt and different tones of green to show dynamism.
