Jacob Maarse is considered to be the Premiere Florist in Southern California. Jacob was a tulip grower in Holland who with his wife Clara immigrated to the United States in the 50's. Jacob Purchased what was then Preebles Florist from the Preeble family and it remains in its present location at the corner of El Molino and Green Street in Pasadena. Hank Maarse; Jacobs son, has commissioned me to create a series of adds and gift boxes commemorating their history and Classic tradition while reflecting the avant-garde nature of their flower arranging. They are known statewide for having fantastic arrangements at reasonable prices.
