This project has been primarily inspired by museum visits and the novel ‘The House on the Strand’. Egypt at the British museum flavours the colour palette tying in alchemic symbols through language, the hieroglyphs being the code to access the culture. Alchemy at the Science Museum coheres the inspirations, forming a transition between realms. The potion takes the mind, like an astral projection, leaving the body in reality. The body of the clothing will be contemporary, whilst the spirit is historically encrypted into the prints. Each viewer will have a different perception of the meaning of the works, a personal method of deciphering the code.
