Arpen Magazine is a fictitious concept for a new magazine looking at games from a different point of view, a view of games as tools for telling and engaging in other people’s stories. The theme of the first issue is Girls Girls Girls and covers stories of female characters in video games, women in gaming and the making video games. Featured on the cover is Max Caufield from the game Life Is Strange.
The second issue, I Hate U, covers the so called "GamerGate" and the problem with hateful language in gaming and on the internet.
The third issue, Mind Meets Mind, covers empathy and the possibility of understanding other people's experiences via gaming.
