Photogravure from Polymer Plate
Handmade intaglio photogravure prints by Jon Lybrook of Intaglio Editions
Photogravure is an historical, alternative photographic printing process made famous by people such as Edward S. Curtis at the turn of the 20th Century.  Originally done on copper plates and etched with acid, in the 1970s printmaker Dan Welden discovered it could be done with photopolymer plates and etched with water.  At that point in time photopolymer plates had only recently been introduced to serve the fledgling semiconductor industry.  My company,  Intaglio Editions provides plates and printmaking services for artists and professional, fine art printmakers. More info on this process and ordering plates or prints at http://intaglioeditions.com

Below are actual photographs of my photogravure prints. Each of the prints in this series has an image size of 11x16".  All handmade prints in this series are available for sale, either individually, or as a complete collection.  Visit https://prints.intaglioeditions.com to order.
