Wyoming Valley #5 (2009-2012)
This quilt commission was initiated on June 29, 2009 andcompleted on May 14, 2012. It is based on the Wyoming Valley block from the1930s. The client requested pink and green fabrics as they were veryreminiscent of spring. The rest was up to me as the designer. It may seem likethis was an extremely long process but interspersed with this project of twolarge wall pieces were also several pieces for exhibitions as well. This piecerequired 924 hours to complete over the almost three year period, which wouldhave worked out to about six months of time working 40 hours a week exclusivelyon this piece. It will be installed in October of 2012
