WordCamp Jacksonville

I was the Swag Coordinator for the inaugural WordCamp Jacksonville in 2016. Because this was our first WordCamp, we had to create everything from scratch, including the logos. The city of Jacksonville is divided by the St. Johns River and has 7 bridges that cross it, each with a different style of construction. I stylized the bridges to create a selection of diverse logos that could be mixed-and-matched as needed. For our first year, we chose the blue bridge (Main Street) as our primary logo because it can be seen from all of downtown.
The original Wapuu was born on February 19, 2011 for WordPress Japan. Since then, Wapuu has taken on a life of it's own and countless variations have been created by WordPress users all over the world. Many WordCamps make their own, custom Wapuus and of course Jacksonville wanted to be a part of the fun. Inspired by the Jacksonville Jaguars football team, I created a Wapuu disguised as a jaguar.
There were also many printed items created for the event. One of the most important items was the name tag for each attendee.
