The Maggot Debridement Device or MDD is a medical device intended for Larval Therapy. The MDD integrates previously separated processes like: transport of sterile fly larvae, placement of the larvae over the wound and a sealing bandage (occlusive dressing).
The device primary objective is reduce the “disgust factor” of this procedure and at the same time providing a protocol for application and distribution.
